Situated in Maine’s midcoast region, Starfire was born out of owner, Jake Dowling’s realization after 10 years of operating Dowling Walsh Gallery that safe and secure storage for art was lacking in not only the art-rich area, but in the state. Years in the making, and with strong connections to the arts community, Starfire opened its doors in the summer of 2018.
Starfire offers boutique museum-quality environments, staff, and services dedicated to collectors and institutions with connections to the northeast. Our staff has been dedicated to the handling and care of fine art items collectively for over 45 years. We understand that there are a variety of needs collectors may encounter to properly care for and enjoy their art collections and we are prepared to easily and economically handle these needs.
